Strength & Conditioning (S & C) training has recently emerged as a buzzword among fitness enthusiasts, and this is reflected in the rapidly growing number of gyms that offer S & C as an option in Pune. However, very few of these gyms have the required expertise to cater to the specific needs of athletes using strength and conditioning as a tool.
For S & C training routines to be effective, they must be scientifically developed to push athletes but must also prevent sports injuries and burnout. S & C coaches must be specially trained in helping their clients improve their skill or performance in their chosen sport. S & C workouts have specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound goals incorporated into routines designed to push the human body to levels only professional athletes can reach. S & C coaches have stricter training and certification requirements. The roles of personal trainers and S & C coaches are not interchangeable, though many gyms in Pune employ the same trainers for both roles.
